meet OUR pastor

Hello, I'm Mark Pratt, and it’s my privilege to have been called to serve Stanwell Congregational church as it’s Pastor. I truly believe that pastoral ministry is what the Lord has intended for me ever since He brought me to trust in our Saviour Jesus Christ in around 2015.

I have since served as an Elder at Staines Congregational church and have been part of the Theological Training Course with the Evangelical Movement of Wales. I have also had a 25+ year career working in HR and still work for an advertising and marketing group alongside my responsibilities at Stanwell Cong.

It is my firm belief that as a church we should prioritise the worship of our triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and our main (but not the only!) way of doing so is our Sunday service. I also believe our church should teach Scripture fully and clearly, equipping ourselves with knowledge and understanding, and helping to apply this to our daily lives. Finally, as a church, we should share the gospel, this amazingly great news that we have been redeemed by Jesus Christ, with as many people as we can, and that we should follow His example and work for the betterment of our community.

In my younger days I spent some time living in Dallas, Texas, so have been a massive country music fan ever since. I like watching (not necessarily playing) most sports and spending time with my lovely wife Sarah, whether it’s just watching TV or heading out for dinner or meeting up with friends

Meet OUR administrator 

I'm Sarah Boldero, happy wife of Mark Pratt, and am so pleased to have joined Stanwell Congregational Church to form a partnership with my husband. I'm a previous primary-school teacher but now run my own successful childminding business from home. God has certainly blessed me with good organisational skills and I also come with experience of being the Church Secretary at Staines Congregational Church, and a Deacon before that. I really hope that I can serve Stanwell Congregational Church, and my husband, well. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to worship and modern country music, spending time with our two whippets (Ruby and Martha), eating out (Indian food is my favourite), drinking Prosecco, and watching crime dramas on TV.
