Sunday school
Our Sunday School, named YOUNG DISCIPLES, happens each week. Children will begin in the main church service and then, at approximately 11am, will leave with their teachers to go to the hall to have their session. At present, sessions will be run by two adults - one leader and one helper.
saturday coffee mornings
Our next Saturday Coffee Morning will be on 16th May. It's been postponed as Mark & Sarah are at a conference the previous week.
prayer & praise
Our next Prayer & Praise service will be on Sunday 24th May. We spend an hour in the church singing some Worship songs and then dedicated some time to pray for international issues, national issues, our community, and ourselves.
Toddler group
Little Treasures run their toddler group in our church hall on Tuesdays (term time only) from 9.30 - 11.30am. Although this not a church-led group, our pastor will pop in when he is able to.
Bible Study
Come along to the meeting room at the back of church for our fortnightly Bible Study. Mark Pratt will lead this discussion-based group where the content will closely follow the church sermon. You don't need to have been in the sermon to come!
zumba
Due to Sport England funding, we have been able to make the Zumba sessions free of charge. However, there is the option to donate via the QR code on the poster if this is something you would like to do. There is a large poster on the noticeboard in the church hall. There is also a donation box if you would prefer to donate cash. Hopefully, this will enable sessions to continue well into the future.
Children and adult table tennis sessions
We support Ashford Table Tennis Club in bringing FREE coaching sessions to children (Yr4-7) and adults on Thursday evenings (term time only).
manna Food bank
Food Bank Collections
Stanwell Congregational Church has regularly contributed to Manna Food Bank and serving the community in this way is something we are keen to continue. Rest assured, Stanwell residents can benefit from Manna Food Bank distributions.
Manna Food Bank is a local charity in the Borough of Spelthorne, supporting local families and individuals who are referred to us by agencies, both statutory and voluntary, and perceived as being in emergency need of food and household essentials. The Food Bank was started by a group of churches and is entirely run by volunteers. As a church, we are able to refer people if they need support from the Food Bank. Please contribute, if you're able to, to the collection box in the church. If you require support with regards to a referral, please CONTACT Sarah and she will complete a referral form if appropriate.
